New Community Partner: Veritas Physical Therapy

Des Moines Soccer Club is excited to announce a new partnership with Veritas Physical Therapy. Our partnership is designed to give DMSC families timely, informed guidance when a player is injured and help families better understand whether an injury requires additional attention or whether a player can safely continue participating.

How the Partnership Works

Through this partnership, every registered DMSC player will have access to a free initial injury screening with Nathanael “Nate” Seaberg, PT, DPT of Veritas Physical Therapy.

If a DMSC player is injured, a parent or guardian may contact Nate directly by text at (309) 798-7380.

  • Weekend game injuries: Nate will be available by text to help arrange an initial screening. When needed, appointments will be reserved on Mondays for DMSC players.
  • Weekday practice injuries: Veritas will make every effort to see the player the following day at the earliest available appointment. Appointment timing may depend on the family’s availability, particularly when appointments are needed outside of school hours.
  • Initial screening: The initial injury screening is provided at no cost to DMSC families.
  • Additional treatment: If physical therapy or other treatment is recommended, those services will be handled through Veritas in the normal manner, using insurance or self-pay as applicable. *Families are under no obligation to continue treatment with Veritas Physical Therapy following the initial screening and may choose any provider for additional care.

When contacting Nate, families should identify themselves as a DMSC family and include:

  • Player’s name
  • Player’s age and DMSC team
  • Brief description of the injury
  • When the injury occurred

This partnership and free injury-screening service are not substitutes for emergency medical care. For a serious, urgent, or potentially life-threatening injury, families should call 911 or seek care through an emergency department or other appropriate emergency provider.

Meet Nate Seaberg

Nate Seaberg is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and former NCAA Division I soccer player at Drake University. He currently supports the Drake Men’s Soccer program and has experience coaching youth and high school soccer.

His combination of clinical expertise and firsthand experience as a soccer player and coach gives him a unique understanding of the demands of the sport and the difference between normal soreness and an injury that may require further evaluation.

We are excited to welcome Veritas Physical Therapy to our community and look forward to providing this additional resource to players and families across the club!
