Our Registration Platform

Our club uses PlayMetrics as our all-in-one club operating system for registration, payment, communication, and schedules. All new users must create an account through PlayMetrics in order to register for any of our programs.

​Registration Policies

  • No refunds will be given unless the club is unable to place a player on a team.
  • If there are any unforseen circumstances (example: global pandemic, earthquake) and the club is not able to have a season, refunds will be given minus a $10.00 per participant service fee.
  • Dishonored checks will be assessed a $10.00 surcharge.
  • NEW PLAYERS: need to show a birth certificate or passport for proof of age.
  • ALL PLAYERS: will need to provide a player photo — player's face should be clearly visible and unobscured by hats, hoodies, etc.


Season Timelines​

Spring seasons:

  • Expect to hear from your coach in late March.
  • Game schedule should be available early April.
  • Game weekends are April and May.


Fall seasons:

  • Expect to hear from your coach late August.
  • Game schedules are typically available late August.
  • Game weekends are September and October.

Required Gear

Recreation:

  • Shin guards (worn under socks)
  • Correctly sized soccer ball
  • Soccer cleats are highly recommended, but optional.
  • No toe cleats allowed — these are typically used for baseball or football 
  • Any closed-toed athletic shoes can be worn

Academy and Select:

Uniforms

Note: Soccer Master was recently acquired by soccer.com. Additional details about uniform ordering will be forthcoming!

  • Uniform purchase is a separate transaction from registration.
  • Uniforms are ordered and processed through our uniform supplier, soccer.com
  • Your uniform depends on both the age group and program selected for your player.
  • Uniforms can be used through a two-year season cycle (Fall 2024 - Spring 2026).


Recreation Uniforms:

Des Moines Soccer Club uniforms will be available through soccer.com. Additional details about uniform ordering will be forthcoming!


Uniform includes:

  1. (2) jerseys — 1 black, 1 red,
  2. (1) pair of shorts — black
  3. (2) pairs of socks — 1 black pair, 1 red pair


Note: We now require the purchase of both jerseys — black and red — for our U6 – U8 programs.

Uniform Ordering Details

Academy and Select Uniforms:

Academy and Select players will receive an email invitation to place their uniform order.

  • Watch for your email to come directly from soccer.com. Once you receive it, please order right away — games can start as early as August.
  • If you order a training top, you should consider getting the personalization/number on the back. This may allow you to wear it over your jersey on a cold day (it's up to the referee)
  • You may want to consider getting multiple training shirts so you always have a clean one for practice.
  • You may want to consider getting multiple pairs of socks.
  • Many of the uniform pieces come in women's sizes too. Youth Medium is about the same size as Women's XS but with a more feminine cut. Contact soccer.com for more help.
  • Parents, you can order items such as training tops for yourself as well.
  • If you buy one of the optional backpacks, you can take it to Van Ginkel's Sporting Goods in Des Moines to get your last name embroidered to make it easy to tell it apart from all the other players' bags. Cost for personalization is $7.50, and if you drop it off on a Monday, they should have it done by the following Monday.

Payment Plans 

  • Payment plans are available in 3-, 6-, and 12-month increments, depending on the program.
  • Payments will be taken based on the day you register (example: if you register on the 7th, your payments will be taken on the 7th of the month)
  • A service fee will be applied to all payments.
  • Service fee applies to all online payments
  • Covers the cost of the Demosphere registration system, including data privacy, security and PCI Compliance
  • PLEASE NOTE: Registration is processed through our registration partner, Playmetrics. DMSC is unable to stop or change payments.
